Yuksam was the first capital of the erstwhile kingdom of Sikkim under the Namgyal Dynasty. The world famous Khanchendzonga trek also starts from and ends at Yuksam. The town also has the oldest monastery of Sikkim, Dubdi Gompa, overlooking the picturesque hamlet. My efforts are to provide a homely and hospitable ambiance while the guests soak in the historical and natural beauty of Yuksam. The space My home is just a walk away from the Archaeological Survey of India curated Norbugang, which was the seat of the first capital of the erstwhile kingdom of Sikkim. Dubdi Monastery , which is the oldest monastery in Sikkim also is situated on the nearby ridge which overlooks my home. My home and the town of Yuksom also serves as a start-off point for the world famous Khanchendzonga Trek. The bedrooms consist of locally procured timber parqueted floor and handcrafted double beds. There is no TV or WIFI currently. The washrooms are tiled wall to wall and have hot water on demand. The commode is a western styled commode. Washbasin with running hot water is available in all rooms. There are a total of four similar rooms each with a balcony. There is a common room which also serves as the dining room for large groups.
