Vacation or work at our comfortable waterfront kitchenette studio in the heart of Fort Walton Beach. The sugar white sand beaches are just a short drive away, and adventure awaits right at your doorstep on Santa Rosa Sound. Includes pool and marina! Boat slip (28 Ft) available! The unit has a queen bed and futon that lays down to a full size bed. It's very comfortable for small groups. We are real owner-hosts and strive to keep our unit spotless and well supplied for our cherished guests. We're close to downtown and shopping, yet our inland location avoids beach traffic and congested parking. The beautiful sugar-white sand beaches of Okaloosa Island are just a short 2 mile drive away. We cherish our 4th floor view of the waterway and think you will, too! We love it so much that we have a second unit just 3 doors down the hall, and you can find that listed on this site under "Cozy Soundside Condo - Great View." Our recently renovated studio provides a well furnished kitchenette with cooking utensils, 2 burner cooktop, microwave, toaster oven, large coffee maker and full sized refrigerator. Entertainment includes a 40" SMART TV with digital cable, and free high speed WIFI. The futon folds down into a comfy full-size bed, allowing extra bed space for adults or children. An air mattress can be provided on request. There is a wonderful large mickey-shaped pool located directly below the balcony. You'll also find a small sandy beach on the edge of the sound where you can sit and enjoy a good book or awesome sunset. Charcoal grills are available for use on the grounds. Boater's delight!! We have a 28 ft slip available for a great price to add your stay if you want to bring your boat. Pirate's Bay is a marina resort property with slips and trailer parking for the traveling sailor, and a great place to hang out for the landlubber. Our large marina allows you to stroll along the docks and enjoy beautiful sunsets along Santa Rosa Sound, or spend a relaxing time casting a line into the depths to catch a fish. We will consider requests to bring along a pet dog. A $45 fee will be added to the rental cost to accommodate any pet. Enjoy the good life at Pirate's Bay right on the edge of the Sound, and leave your worries behind. Guest access Guests have complete use of the condo, and have access to the grounds, pools, and marina. A secure digital keypad opens the unit door. The gated areas are accessible with a keypad code. There is plenty of parking available right in front of the building. An elevator makes the trip to the 4th floor a breeze, but stairwells also provide a quick climb for you exercise enthusiasts. A wheeled baggage cart for self-service use is kept near the elevator. Guests requiring mail delivery can ask for a key to a secure postal box in the elevator lobby. Boat slips are available by request, and must be arranged in advance. Other things to note We try hard to keep our rates affordable. Because the unit is in the tourism taxing district, Airbnb adds the local bed tax and sales tax (12% total) in your reservation. How is that money used? It pays for beach safety and lifeguards, special event activities on Okaloosa Island, and visitor information publications/websites. With our express prior agreement, you may bring your well behaved pooch! Our property has many pet walking areas and there is a public dog park just a half mile away. Please note that we always clean thoroughly after guest stays and make sure to remove odors and dander; we also must treat for unwanted pests as needed. Therefore we ask for a strict pet fee of $45 maximum per visit if you plan to bring your pooch. We will gladly assist in any way we can to make your stay with your pet enjoyable. There are coin operated laundry machines on the 2nd and 3rd floors. Ice is available free on the 2nd floor. Several eating places are within a short walk from the condo, including the Olive Garden, 2 Thai diners, Pizza Hut, and a Sushi place. Waffle House, iHop, Red Lobster, Oceans Buffet, and several other eateries are all within half a mile. Nearest grocery store is Publix about a mile away. Downtown Fort Walton has a bundle of places to eat and enjoy a brew or cocktail and it's just a short hop from our doorstep.
