Rural and old-fashioned decorated cottage, by the coast on a private meadow. The house has a simple kitchen, outhouse, and water pump up the well on the farm (tested and approved water quality). Your only neighbors are the cows grazing around the house and a few sheep. The house has 12v electricity so you can charge digital equipment but not run, for example, a hair dryer or microwave. The space Close to nature, secluded and simple without electricity and running water. The cottage is a dream for ornithologists and astronomers. In the wetland below, you can find waders, sea eagles, marsh harriers, spoonbills, etc. The cottage is located just north of Sandbyborg and is 120 m2 with up to 6 beds, large terrace to the southeast with 180-degree views of the beach meadows and the sea. Charming and well-kept house built between 1972 and 2015, decorated with grandmother's inherited furniture and porcelain and our summer place, not decorated as a rental cottage. We use 12v electricity from solar panel, small kitchen with gas stove without working oven but a good large gas grill at the outdoor kitchen, small camping fridge and rechargeable hand vacuum cleaner and neat outdoor toilet with separate toilet. Water is pumped on the farm and carried by hand to the kitchen and the small laundry room with a USB shower. Outdoor kitchen with large gas grill and sheltered patio in the southwest, croquet court and terrace to the southeast provide lovely days regardless of weather and wind, here you can watch birds from the glass veranda! The cottage is located on beach-protected land by the EU and UNESCO. Guest access There are board games, toys and books as well as radio. Internet and mobile coverage is good. There is no wi-fi. There are two adult bikes. The kitchen is powered by LPG, there is no oven but in return a large barbecue in the outdoor kitchen. Other things to note If your vacation depends on a dishwasher, hairdryer, TV and a large refrigerator, this is not the place for you, it's just as well to be honest! If you are looking for total tranquility, to live in an old-fashioned way in harmony with nature and take part in Öland's exciting history and experience Öland's alvar, then the cottage is just right.
