Little Laburnum offers luxurious 5* Bed & Breakfast accommodation in a private garden annexe with its own entrance set in the grounds of a 17th Century village cottage in rural Somerset. Tastefully furnished with EITHER superking or twin bed options, Little Laburnum also has a private ensuite bathroom, wifi, TV, air conditioning unit and tea & coffee facilities. A homemade breakfast using local produce in served in the Garden Room of the main house. The space Little Laburnum is a self-contained 5 * Bed & Breakfast with its own private entrance. It is deep cleaned in between each stay. A full breakfast is provided each morning including homemade & local products. Guest access There is plenty of off road parking. Guests have access to the garden for relaxation. Mobile coverage is weak. WiFi in bedroom and landline in main house can be used within reason. During your stay We like to ask guests to join us for a glass of wine or cup of tea if situation permits. We are always available for help and advice. Other things to note Next door to Laburnum Cottage is Westcombe Dairy famous for its cheddar, ricotta and other delicious cheeses. Woodshedding Brewery opened its beerhall in 2024, open Friday evenings and all day Saturday; a relaxed place to enjoy a pint or two and a Westcombe ploughmans. We are also lucky to have the Westcombe shop selling all that the site has to offer; cheese, charcuterie, bread, beer, and incredibly moreish Brickell's ice cream. Hauser & Wirth’s gallery, garden, restaurant and farm shop are 3 miles away in the historic village of Bruton. Bruton boasts many incredible cafes and restaurants, with Michelin star restaurant, Osip closeby. A short drive away from the b&b is the glorious Newt in Somerset country estate and gardens which can be enjoyed all year round. Wells, Stourhead, Glastonbury Tor, Cheddar Gorge and Wookey Hole are also within an easy drive. If you just want to stay local and explore on foot, we have many footpaths within easy reach. A short walk down Bailey's lane and through the fields brings you up into Batcombe which is home to the Three Horse Shoes pub, newly acquired by renowned chef Margot Henderson.
