Marl Hill House is a peaceful country retreat

Marl Hill House dates back to 1722 and is situated in the heart of the scenic Trough of Bowland. The house is approximately 8 miles from Clitheroe, where there are many independent shops, coffee shops and restaurants, including Holmes Mill. Close by is also the famous Inn at Whitewell Hotel. Attached to the house is a 3 acre field with a small wooded area and natural pond. The house offers great accommodation for family getaways and a wonderful place to relax for all country lovers. The space The house is located in an area of natural beauty and offers you a peaceful retreat away from crowds, traffic & noise. The safe gated patios areas are perfect for younger children. The 3 acre field by the house allows older children to explore nature and to play outside in the woods. Parents must be aware of the natural pond and make sure young children are not left alone in the field. Guest access The guests will have access to all the house, gardens & adjoining 3 acre field. Other things to note Its a rural property so good to arrive with basic food supplies. Many supermarkets will delivery to the property. The Aga is always switched on & hot ready to use. The Aga heats the hot water too. There is a chest freezer located in the garage along with a dryer and the garden furniture. Outdoor clothing is recommended along with walking boots & wellies for the kids if you plan to explore the area. Bikes are great for the area, Gisburn Forest is not far away and offers many off road cycling routes. The bikes can be stored in the garage if required.
