Le Chalet du Torrent

The comfortable and welcoming family cottage is located in the old village of La Salle Les Alpes, perched on the south and sunny slope of the Serre Chevalier winter and summer sports resort. The space The Chalet is in a great location, without a neighbor, with a large garden and breathtaking views that no construction hinders the valley. It is an old chalet entirely made of larch wood, very warm and comfortable, perfect for a family holiday. The chalet is located in the old village of La Salle Les Alpes, perched on the south and sunny slope of the Serre Chevalier winter and summer sports resort. This old village is quiet, has beautiful laundries and a lovely 13th century Romanesque church, toboggan runs and a playground ideal for children and picnics (Saint Barthélémy), and offers magnificent mountain views. This old mountain village is a ten minute walk away from the shops and delicious restaurants of Villeneuve and a 20 minute walk to the slopes. There are however very regular shuttles, and free, which take you in 5 minutes at the foot of the slopes and which leave every 30 minutes 20 meters from the chalet. Guest access La Salle les Alpes is 9 km from Briançon, a Vauban walled city which has, for a city of this size, an impressive number of sports, artistic and cultural centers, the SNCF train station. Briançon opens to the gates of Italy, Ecrins National Park and Queyras Park. 13 KM AWAY, Montgenèvre and the Italian border. The adjoining region, Piedmont, is extremely rich in walks, exciting art and culture and Turin (Caselle – Torino airport) is 90 KM AWAY. Shuttles (45 minutes, 9 EUR) run twice a day from Briançon station to Oulx TGV station in Italy, where you can take the current Paris – Milan TGV. Three shuttles per day connect Serre Chevalier to Grenoble train station (17 euros). Other things to note In winter, the garden offers an infinite playground for children: tobogganing, igloo, snowmen, snowball battles. In summer, it is an extremely pleasant, sunny and vast place to relax on the available sun loungers, to play football or any other sport on the flat part of the garden!
