In the historic center of Lisbon, in an ethnic district and a lively street with many small shops (Rua do Benformoso), this very beautiful apartment was renovated in early 2024 while keeping the old world charm. It is close to major tourist attractions but also to the Martim Moniz metro, buses, and trams. The apartment is on the 3rd floor WITHOUT elevator access in an old and authentic building. You have shops right next door for your shopping (7/7) The space Offering 2 air-conditioned bedrooms (reversible air conditioning with heating), a living room, a fully equipped kitchen, separate toilet and a small bathroom with shower, you will feel at home. The apartment has been redesigned by a renowned architect who has restored its character while bringing it the modernity expected today. The living room is bright and airy and you can dine comfortably. It overlooks the lively street (mainly pedestrians, very few cars) The rooms overlook the back courtyard, quiet. This apartment is perfectly equipped for you to enjoy your stay (TV, fiber/WIFI, air conditioning in the bedrooms, dishwasher, small refrigerator, multi-function oven and stove). Guest access You will be welcomed directly by our local assistant who will hand you the keys. We prefer this to self check-in because you can ask any questions you may have and ask for useful information for the start of your stay. You will have the entire flat for yourselves. We will provide the products for the dishwasher, as well as some basics for the kitchen or shower. The entire apartment is at your disposal. There is a Nespresso machine, so bring your capsules! (Note the coffee in the cafes is excellent and extremely cheap!!) Other things to note - Apartment for 4 people. It is not possible to accommodate more people. - Accommodation not suitable for families with babies because there is no baby bed available and it is located on the 3rd floor without an elevator with a fairly steep staircase (60 steps to climb) - Accommodation not suitable for elderly people for the same reasons (no elevator and steep staircase) - No parties allowed in the apartment. No noise tolerated in the evening to preserve the calm in the building. - If you are a group of young girls, please read the comments carefully before booking. The apartment is located in a very central and very popular area of Lisbon with people walking on the street, often men. Some have seen drug sales take place on the street. There has never been any problem with tourists, but some people prefer quieter neighborhoods and quieter outlying areas. Please consider this information before booking. I could not cancel the reservation myself for this reason, I am not a manager of the city of Lisbon. - Check-in: a supplement of €20 will be charged in case of arrival after 9 p.m. (to be paid directly to the person who gives the keys). - Lost keys will be charged €40. - Local taxes and IDs: A local government tax of €2 per day and per tenant (except for children under the age of 12) will be applied directly to the booking by Airbnb, and your ID number will be collected for submission to the authorities as required by local laws.
