Description
For the current times when we need to find ourselves in nature and with ourselves, in a place in Tenerife where COVID-19 was barely present, this pleasant traditional 19th century house with 200 years of history is waiting for you, with an exquisite restoration and all the amenities ideal for Teleworking (fiber optic). Close to climbing schools and a wide network of trails. With the beach just 12 minutes away, ideal for surfing and snorkeling. The space We are looking at what we can perfectly call a signature house. La Tronja, a traditional 19th century peasant house located in the southeast of Tenerife in the municipality of Arico. María, Margarita, Julio, Paquito… are part of its more than 200 years of history, droughts, locust plagues, emigration, post-war, hunger, poverty. Now its memories open the doors for you to write new stories in which you will be the protagonist. After a careful restoration that respected the structural elements of the traditional Canarian construction of the area, such as the stone walls, the adobe, the gable roof, the patio and cistern, the animal pen, etc., and renovated elements to enrich heritage and biodiversity through the organic garden or the garden of native plants, a unique place has been achieved for rest, conversation, creation and dreaming, to find ourselves and share it. A real stimulus for the senses. The interior design also contributes and encourages us to reach a state of harmony. Elements of traditional decoration of great ethnographic value have been combined with others with a modernist air; the contrast of straight lines and modern objects with the structure and layout of the house have contributed to the balance of the spaces. The house consists of several distinct spaces. On one side, we have the main house consisting of a living room, a bedroom, an entrance hall, and a mezzanine (tronja) with an approach to the loft concept, a separate bathroom, and a separate dressing room. On the other hand, there is the kitchen that has a dining terrace and communicates with the garden and orchard. In this last space, we find several corners set up for relaxation. Communication between the two houses is through a common courtyard that reminds us of the ancient Canarian citadels. Guest access Guests have the entire house with an exclusive garden, patio, and terrace. Other things to note After the situation we experienced during the state of emergency due to Covid-19, we can say that our accommodation is a privileged place to spend a few days relaxing and resting, as it is located in a small hamlet, with few people, surrounded by nature, and where there have been hardly any positive cases of the disease. As it is a detached house, with no common areas, customers can feel safe. We have also cleaned and disinfected the house following the protocol established by health institutions.
