Description
Pukemiro Retreat is a working farm. Kitchen & fridge space is limited and shared with hosts for produce preparation. This peaceful coastal permaculture farm only 20 minutes from New Plymouth boasts spectacular views overlooking the Onaero River and Tasman Sea. Situated between two beaches, its unique geographic location makes it an ideal base for a coastal getaway stay in Northern Taranaki. Plenty of secure, off-road parking, wifi and homegrown produce. The space Three bedrooms, each with a sea view are available and are completely private and lockable. One Uber-King Master room has its own ensuite and private balcony. Two other Queen rooms share one and a half bathrooms and a common landing space. Downstairs is a shared central courtyard dining and lounge space with fireplace. Muesli, yogurt, toast, jam, coffee and tea are provided for breakfast. Additional kitchen use and laundry is available for an additional charge, please enquire. Guest access Late arrivals can be accommodated by arrangement. Please call ahead if you are delayed. Guests can visit vegetable gardens, orchards and edible landscapes in the vicinity of the house. Farm tours to the wider farm can be made by arrangement. Pukemiro Farm produces fresh foods, produce and preserves. Beef cattle and sheep graze the pastures and native birds are active in the surrounding bush habitat. During your stay Our family enjoy hosting. Pukemiro Farm is a working farm. We sometimes have overseas helpers stay and assist us on the property. Guests are welcome to talk with us about our sustainable food farming. Mobile phone reception in the home and on the property is variable at times. SMS messages are checked regularly and preferred to voice messages. Other things to note The farm includes a number of hazards such as eroding cliffs, water hazards, electric fences and livestock. A safety briefing and suitable footwear is required to access these areas.
