Shelter is located on Moi just off the E39 midway between Stavanger and Kristiansand. Moi is referred to as the South of Rogaland. Swimming and boating are popular here. Moi has a lot of ancient monuments from Viking times and rich craft traditions. Best known today is Pizzamani, the bjøllefabrikken as well as Gilje and NorDan. The wooden shoe factory in neighboring Hovsherad with its own factory outlet is worth it. Lundevatnet and Hovsvatnet are both great recreational places. You will find great swimming, paddling and fishing spots.
