Our Family Home in a Tinos Village

Description

Our family home in Ktikados village - not a styled rental, a house with character, lived in and loved. The terrace is the heart of it: morning coffee in a hoodie before the sun hits, sunset with wine after a day exploring the island. Three tavernas five minutes on foot, beaches and villages all within a short drive. Best for families who want to settle in for a week or more - some have come back year after year. You'll need a car and a taste for the unhurried. The space The house is built on two levels connected by an external stone staircase - the traditional Cycladic way. The upper floor is where you'll live: an open kitchen and dining area under wooden-beamed ceilings, a living room with a built-in sofa and fireplace, and a terrace that you'll never want to leave. The main bedroom has a double bed and a view of the sea through blue shutters. The second bedroom has two single beds. One bathroom. The lower floor is cooler and quieter - thick stone walls keep the heat out, which makes it ideal for older kids or a grandparent who wants their own space. One double bedroom, one single bedroom, a small sitting area with a sofa bed, a second bathroom, a fridge, and coffee-making basics. The kitchen is fully equipped for family cooking - hob, oven, fridge, everything you need to make a proper meal. The dining table seats eight, though most evenings you'll eat on the terrace instead. Guest access Guests can have access to all the amenities of the house exclusively Other things to note Please read before booking - we want you to have the right expectations. This is a village house, not a hotel. That's what makes it special, but it means some things work differently. The terrace faces west - you get morning shade and evening sun, which means cool breakfasts and sunset dinners. The village has three tavernas within a five-minute walk - Drosia, Agnanti, and Rakizio. The kitchen is there if you want it, but you won't miss it if you don't. You will need a car - but that's half the fun. Beaches, villages, and Chora are all 10–20 minutes away. The final stretch of village road is narrow and steep, which is standard Tinos. Don't be fooled by summer - Tinos is windy. Pack hoodies for morning coffee and late nights on the terrace. You'll thank us. Hot water and WiFi: the boiler takes time to reheat between showers, and the 4G/5G router handles browsing and streaming but not remote work. Water pressure can dip island-wide in peak season. Please keep an eye on children outdoors - the terrace walls are low and the staircase between floors is external stone steps. We manage remotely but are always reachable - we send everything you need before arrival. The lizards are everywhere on the island. Harmless, and basically pets. Registration Details 00000166634
