Shores Club condo #206 will bring the breathtaking view of the ocean to you whether you are on the balcony (with a 180 degree view of the ocean) in the great room, or in the main bedroom. The fantastic ocean and beach view will greet you when you enter the condo. The Shores Club is located on a “no drive” part of famous Daytona Beach. If you bring small children with you, you don't need to worry about traffic while the kids play on the beach. The sound of the waves crashing is so relaxing it can lull you to sleep at night. Our condo is located on the second floor of the building which makes it very convenient to get in and out easily by walking one flight of stairs on the side of the building instead of waiting for an elevator to take your beach or pool items in or out. The condo is located close to the stairwell. The balcony (which is accessible from both the living room and the main bedroom) is perfect for catching a view of the waves, dolphins, pelicans, space launches or just people watching. We saw North Atlantic Right whales playing in the ocean from the condo in January too! The living room has comfortable leather sofas and a recliner to watch the ocean and the beach, catch the game or a movie on the large HDTV with cable. The dining room can be used for eating meals or for playing games. The kitchen counter top area has stools for you to watch the chef in the family create your meals. The kitchen comes fully furnished with everything you will need to make a meal or enjoy snacks and drinks. Granite counter tops and stainless steel appliances, including dishes, pots and pans, a coffee maker, blender and toaster means you don't have to go out to eat if you are having too much fun at the pool or beach to leave the condo. Big windows in the living room and the main bedroom bring in a lot of light so that you can enjoy viewing the beach while laying in bed deciding what to do for the day. The main suite has a king size bed and is spacious, bright and includes a dressing area with a large closet and four piece bathroom with a tub/shower combo. The second bedroom includes two queen beds and a large closet to store all of your things. The second bedroom has access to a bathroom with a large shower. Each bedroom has its own flat screen TV. Right outside your front door is your own private laundry room with washer and dryer. Beach chairs, umbrellas and sand castle toys are also in the laundry area are available for your use. Please don't forget to rinse off the beach toys and chairs at the pool deck before returning to the laundry area. This room can be used to store your own personal beach items while you visit. The Shores Club has a heated outdoor pool, a club room, fitness room, sauna, basketball, pickelball and tennis court and shuffleboard. The basketball and tennis courts are located on the 2nd floor so you can look out your kitchen window to see when the courts are available for you to use. There are two grills available for you to use during your stay. See the Welcome to the Shores Club book located in the lobby for more things to do in the Daytona area. The Shores Club recently upgraded the access to the beach with a ramp. Unfortunately, the ramp was damaged in the hurricanes. We hope the repair will be completed soon. Condo #206 has one indoor parking spot on the first level of the garage near the entrance. You can use the elevators or walk up the one flight of stairs on the side of the condo building to get in and out of the condo easily. We recommend parking inside the parking garage to avoid searching for a parking spot outdoors. Parking outdoors can be challenging when the building is fully occupied. There are plenty of options for fun for the whole family while you are visiting Daytona Beach. Ponce de Leon Lighthouse is a few miles down the beach, along with deep sea fishing, manatee tours, hang gliding or just hanging out at Lighthouse Point Park where you will find bigger shells for your collection! You can ride a Segway on the beach while hearing about Daytona's history at either the main street pier or Ponce Lighthouse. At night, you can see the lighthouse light shining from your balcony! The Main Street Pier is 6-1/2 miles up the beach and has games, rides, and restaurants. You can make it a night out at the Pier watching a pick up game of beach volleyball after dinner. Salt water taffy from Zeno's is a great treat to take home for others to enjoy. There are plenty of shops to visit along South Atlantic Avenue to find gifts for family and friends. You have a number of options for mini golf and treats along South Atlantic Avenue also. Go cart tracks are just over the Dunlawton bridge on South Nova Road. You will find it easy to have fun during your stay here. We hope you enjoy the beach as much as we do each time we visit.
