Description

The Palazzetto di Marmo was built by Luigi Benvenuto, a roman master stonemason who lived in Castel Cellesi. The house was completed in 1906. The recently renovated house is equipped with modern technology, including A/C and heating, Wi-Fi, satellite-TV and adjustable LED-lighting. The renewal was completed while respecting the original atmosphere and style, thus creating a unique experience in a modest village close to Unesco's world heritage site - Civita Di Bagnoregio, "The Dying City". The space The Palazzetto di Marmo is a unique house nestled in the picturesque and authentic village of Castel Cellesi in Italy, offering an unparalleled experience of quiet luxury, charm and relaxation. It's perfect for couples, friends or an adult family vacation. The ground floor consists of an entrance hall, a living room, a toilet and a kitchen with a dining table, directly connected with a veranda that can effortlessly host up to 8-10 people for lunch, aperitivo and dinner. The first floor has a bedroom, bathroom and a studio with direct access to a terrace with stunning views towards the Tiber Valley. The bedroom has two single beds that can be put together or kept separate. The bedroom has its own bathroom with a shower and a separate restroom. Both the bedroom and the bathroom have their own balconies. The second and last floor consists of a master bedroom, a large balcony facing west and a bathroom, as well as a large sunbathing terrace with a shower, which is accessible directly from the terrace on the first floor. The bathroom has wonderful bathtub, shower and a separate restroom. Our guests have free access to the gardens and the swimming pool located on the east side of the house (2min walk), where they can relax and enjoy the stunning views on the Tiber Valley. The pool is managed by a local family of Castel Cellesi, and access to it is strictly restricted to the family, their guests and the Palazzetto di Marmo’s guests. The pool and garden area includes a shower, a toilet and a self-service bar To complete your holiday experience, you can order astonishing home cooked Italian meals straight to the house. They are made by a local cook, who can make everything from breakfasts to lunches and dinners - accompanied with wine, of course. If needed, there's also a possibility to order a visit by a masseuse, an intermediate cleaning for the house or an external laundry service. If you want to see and learn more about the Palazzetto di Marmo and the areas nearby, please visit the palazzettodimarmo website, and our insta page, @palazzettodimarmo. Guest access A complete guidebook for your stay, including nearby restaurants and attractions, can be found at the property and on the palazzettodimarmo website. The best way to get to Castel Cellesi is by car. The Palazzetto di Marmo is only a 1h 40min drive away from Rome, close to the border that separates the regions of Lazio and Umbria. The shorter route from the north side of Rome headed to E35 and E45 towards Castel Cellesi occasionally has dense traffic during the weekends. Hence the route that goes by the coast along E80 is a valid option, which provides beautiful scenery while you head towards the fascinating, historical region of Tuscia. The region is ancient Etruscan territory and is filled with historically interesting locations. The large variety of wineries and quality restaurants in the area offer culinarists an excellent chance to explore and experience the wonders of central Italy’s cuisine. Other things to note Castel Cellesi is a small and humble village with many sympathetic characters, including a town square with a historic Parish church. English speaking individuals are somewhat of a rarity in the village. The atmosphere is very authentic Italian. The village’s bar/café, which is located in the former school building, is a must visit if you want to meet the locals and experience the genuine and welcoming atmosphere of Castel Cellesi. Whether you want to enjoy a coffee and croissant in the morning, an aperitivo in the late afternoon or need some kitchen essentials, this is the place to go. Registration Details IT056003C2S5TB3R6B
