There are some great walks to be had locally, and the esplanade and beaches overlook the Firth of Forth where you can join the Fife Coastal Path to venture further afield. The local parks have woodland walks and formal gardens and the town has a rich history with historic buildings to visit including the ancient Ravenscraig Castle. This area is known as the Fife Riviera and a little further along the coast are the seaside towns of Burntisland and Aberdour, which has a pretty harbour and two white sandy beaches and walks along the cliffs.
