Lake House in South Sweden with Beach & Gym

Our house is in the countryside by lake Ringsjön in south Sweden. The place is ideal for couples or young families who enjoy the outdoors. You will instantly enjoy the comfortable living overlooking the beautiful lake Ringsjön. Our guesthouse is perfect as a holiday basecamp or perhaps as an overnight stay on your travels. We speak Swedish, English, Dutch as well as German fluently and are experienced travellers ourselves. Please beware that the house is a 1-room studio apartment. Welcome! The space The space is designed to be a comfortable size for 2 adults. An additional crib for babies and a high seat is also available on request. There is free parking space at the guest house. Guest access The Garden The garden is great for enjoying a coffee or meal outside. We provide a sitting area with some outdoor chairs and a table. There is also a coal barbecue + utensils available. The Lake & Beach The house is located on the south side of the lake. We have a shallow bay surrounding our premises, so the waters are usually calm. This makes the place great for hopping in, even for kids. If the weather is nice, you will be able to enjoy a great view of the sunset from our beach. The lake is great for fishing. We usually catch perch and pike (check the photos!) and there is also a lot of Zander, which is however more difficult to catch. We have all the basic fishing equipment available. You don’t need a fishing permit to fish from the garden, but you do if you want to go out on the lake. Fishing permits can be bought from a machone outside the Ringsjöstrand restaurant, a few km away, or online on ifiske.se The Canoe The canoe is a comfortable size for 2 adults + 2 small kids. We have life vests available for adults, but not for kids below 10 years of age. The canoe has a flat bottom, so it’s pretty stable, which is great for beginners. Beware that if it’s windy it can be hard to paddle. Summer evenings are usually great for taking out the canoe as it is usually less windy and there are less waves. The Gym The gym has new equipment purchased in January 2017: Cardio Equipment; - Rower Concept 2, PM5 - Skierg, Concept 2, PM5 - Crosstrainer Sole E35 2015 Weights: - Hexagon Dumbell Set 3kg - 30kg - Barbell with plates up to 100kg - EZ Bar - 20kg kettle-bell Benches - Incline Bench - Squat Rack - Power Rack Extra: - Yoga Mat - Bosu Ball - Medicine Ball 5kg If you would like to use the gym, please bring gym shoes. The gym can be used at any time. The gym belongs to the house, we may also use the gym occasionally. Other things to note TV There is no antenna to the TV. There is a Apple tv gen. 3 Internet: We have mobile wifi Weather The weather is usually nice from Spring-Autumn. We do not have many mosquitos to worry about as we are quite far South in Sweden. Alcohol The Systembolaget is a government-owned chain of liquor stores in Sweden. It is the only retail store allowed to sell alcoholic beverages that contain more than 3.5% alcohol by volume. To buy alcoholic beverages at Systembolaget one has to be 20 years of age or older. At Swedish restaurants and bars the legal age to buy alcoholic beverages is 18 years. The closest Systembolaget is in the village Hörby, a 10min drive. Supermarket The closest supermarket is "ICA Kvantum" in Hörby (10 min drive) The closest gas station is also there.
