The guest cottage , also known as The Hatchery, was an actual hatchery prior to renovation. The renovation produced an adorable cottage which has a queen bed, and an additional pull out queen sleeper sofa. There is a full kitchen, shower and tub, washer and dryer, private deck with grill, Netflix and Hulu. Area has cycling, hiking, wineries, acclaimed equestrian center, downtown dining, shopping, art galleries, movie theater. Biltmore, Chimney Rock, Lake Lure & Carl Sandburg home close by. The cottage sits separately from the main house. It is on top of a slight hill, with a sidewalk leading up a set of five steps prior to entering the cottage. It is not handicap accessible. Pool may only be used if a waiver is signed. There are a set of steps as well as handrails leading up to the pool. Our guests are welcome to use the pool as long as they sign a waiver.
