Description
A charming and cosy detached stone cottage perched on top of the glorious Mid-Wales hills giving panoramic views towards the beautiful Elan Valley. The space The cottage provides comfortable accommodation on the ground floor with a well equipped fitted kitchen/diner and a delightful lounge with original inglenook fireplace fitted with a wood burner – great for those cosy nights in! Upstairs there is a single and double bedroom along with a bathroom complete with bath and shower over. There is ample parking at the cottage which adjoins open countryside on all sides and there are no near neighbours. We own 275 acres of hill which can be accessed from the cottage providing excellent walking and bird watching opportunities. All usual equipment is provided (pots, pans, crockery, etc). Bed linen and towels are also provided. There are no hidden extras. The pleasant tourist and market town of Rhayader is 2 miles away and offers a variety of local shops, butchers, delicatessen, grocers, supermarkets and lots of cafes, pubs and inns. Rhayader is well placed for leisure activity with two attractive parks that follow the River Wye having tennis courts, multi-use games area and the newly opened 'Pump Track Wales' which can be used for free. There is a well equipped leisure centre with swimming pool and jacuzzi, squash courts, multi-gym and concert hall. Rhayader is located in the glorious mid-wales countryside and is an ideal base to expalore all that mid Wales has to offer - from the well renowned Elan Valley dams and reservoirs, the dark skies park which allows you to view the magical sky at night, the Cambrian Mountains and the fabulous coastal road to the West Wales coast at Aberystwyth via Devil's Bridge (rated on of the AA's top ten routes in the World).
