Gardeners’ Cottage (Georgian stable conversion)

An entirely self contained cottage, recently converted from a Georgian stable and gardeners’ lodge. While adjacent to the owners property it is entirely separate, with its own secure parking and EV charger. Located in a small village, with two pubs on doorstep. Market town of Wallingford (setting for “Midsomer Murders”) is short walk, many amenities including boat rides on the River Thames an outdoor heated pool (summer), great restaurants and shops including Waitrose. The space The entire property is dedicated to guests and includes three bedrooms, a hall, utility room, and large kitchen, dining and relaxing area. You also have your own gated off street secure private parking area for one vehicle including free use of EV charging point, security lights and camera. There is a small garden area, with chairs and a table, great for a morning coffee or evening drink. Please note our neighbours have young children so not suitable for use after 10pm/playing music etc. Guest access Kitchen equipped with oven and hob, dishwasher, fridge and freezer, toaster, kettle, microwave and coffee machine. Utility room including washing machine and tumble dryer. TV and WiFi throughout, office desk. The property has three bedrooms, the sizeable master is on the ground floor with a super king bed, pleasant views of the garden and a workspace with desk. The second bedroom (my favourite) is on the first floor, and is a lovely cosy room, with a king size bed, wardrobe and private w.c. The third “bedroom” is on the mezzanine level, and includes a king size bed and a single bed, kids particularly love this area. This room has a window that looks out on to the road so although at night it is not busy there will be some traffic noise. Other things to note While the property is finished to a high standard, many of the buildings original features have been retained. So while this provides a very authentic experience, it also means that the property is not best suited to families with very young children as the flooring and some of the beams and staircases still have their original rustic finish (splinter risk), there are some protruding nails in beams etc
