Charming Cornish cottage with a touch of Scandi style converted from a complex of barns. Nestled a short walk from stunning Mawgan Porth beach and village. King Surf School, Merrymoor Inn, Scarlet Hotel, The Park and The Wildwood Spa on your doorstep! Ideally located for the South West Coast Path and the beautiful seven bays from Mawgan Porth to Padstow. Communal grounds host a table tennis room and a laundry room and log store for the wood burning stove. Parking for one car only. Dogs Welcome. The space Freshly updated interior new for 2025. Comfortable mattresses on the superking and the bunks, good quality bedding and linen and an excellent shower. The kitchen is dated but spotlessly clean and very well equipped for those who like to cook and drink coffee! Nespresso machine and pods, Italian stove top pots and a cafetiere plunge pot cater for all your coffee needs. Also a sodastream to keep you hydrated! Iconic Cornishware and Portmeirion crockery. Beautiful elm floorboards throughout the living area and a sea view (more of a glimpse!) from the skylight window! There is a Roberts Radio and a well stocked bookshelf but please note there is no TV so bring your tablet/laptop. The WiFi is excellent making it ideal to work away from home and stream your favourite shows and music. VERY IMPORTANT: Please note that the first bedroom is an open mezzanine accessed by a steep Jacob's/paddle ladder and has a section of flooring that is unprotected by railings. Once up there you are in the eaves so space is tight but you will be rewarded with a huge Super King bed! I recommend not taking/storing luggage up there - when we stay we unpack and then put the case/s back in the car. Please no dogs or children on the mezzanine. Please also note that the bunk beds are original to the cottage and as vintage items do not have a safety rail on either bunk. Porth Farm Cottages is made up of eight separate dwellings all of which welcome dogs and children. So even if you do not have dogs or children they are likely to be around especially during school holidays. Parking on site is for one car only. There is a small charge for the communal surfer's shower and laundry facilities located in the grounds so please bring coins if you wish to use them. NB the cottage has it's own private shower in the bathroom. Also super handy for Newquay airport. Guest access The whole property and grounds including the table tennis room and laundry room. There is a lovely seating area under a bay tree to the front of the cottage. Perfect for children, dogs and most definitely for surfing and bodyboarding. Ideal for grabbing your board and heading out when conditions are good or take a lesson with local surf school legends King Surf who can provide boards and wetsuits or hire from Betty's Surf Shop in the village.
