Le Grenier is situated on the top floor of a traditional Valéry-style house in Saint-Valery-sur-Somme, under the eaves. From its windows, there is a lovely view of the boats, the canal and the ever-changing skies over the Bay. The flat has a bedroom with a double bed, a living room with a sofa bed, a fully equipped kitchen and a bathroom with bath. Bright and quiet, its unusual loft-style layout gives it its charm (ceiling height 2.05 metres – please note this if you are over 1.80 metres tall). The space With a separate entrance, the accommodation comprises a separate bedroom (double bed 140x190), a living room with a sofa bed (140x190) opening onto the kitchen, a bathroom (washbasin, bath with shower) and a separate toilet. The kitchen is fully equipped: hob, dishwasher, coffee machine and a full set of crockery. On arrival, you’ll find a basic supply of groceries (coffee, salt, pepper, oil) so you can cook your first evening’s meal straight away. Bed linen and towels are provided. In the living room: throws, a television, Wi-Fi, board games and books about the region. A fan is available for hot summer nights. Guest access The flat is entirely for guests’ use and is on the 3rd floor of the house. There is no lift, but the stairs are easy to climb. Parking: I’ll provide you with a code that allows you to use the car parks in Saint-Valery-sur-Somme free of charge. You can also park two bikes in the secure courtyard. If travelling by train: the nearest station is Noyelles-sur-Mer (6 km), with connections available via a small steam train, bus or taxi to Saint-Valery. Other things to note The flat is a loft conversion with a ceiling height of 2.05 m. Please note that guests taller than 1.80 m may bump their heads on the sloping ceilings. The bedroom is fitted with blackout blinds to ensure a good night’s sleep, as are the skylights in the living room. The windows in the living room facing the quayside are fitted with curtains. In summer, the flat can get hot during the day: a fan is provided. On departure, please leave the flat in good condition: make the bed, rinse out the bathroom, clean the kitchen worktops, put the crockery away and give the floor a quick sweep.
