Quiet caravan site, Mawgan porth/St Eval, Cornwall
Description
Our static van is situated on a quiet farmer's site in the heart of North Cornwall's Seven Bays. The decking that runs the length of the van gives fantastic uninterrupted views across the fields to the sea in the distance beyond. The van has been well looked after and is clean, cosy and homely, but it is in no way state of the art and is beginning to show its age in a few places. The space The site is quiet and other than an outside tap has no facilities or amenities - fantastic if you're looking for a peaceful holiday. To be clear though, it is basic, so if you want manicured lawns, swimming pools and resort atmosphere then Trevilledor probably isn't for you. The van has been well looked after and is clean, cosy and homely, but it is in no way state of the art and is beginning to show its age in a few places... We say this in the interests of your own expectations and insofar as we would like it be well looked after. So if you're looking for a peaceful holiday in a glorious part of Cornwall with your own private terrace then read on... The van is spacious for a van, it has two bedrooms: a double and a twin and has a good sized lounge / dining area, a galley kitchen with a stovetop coffeemaker and two bedrooms (a twin and a double), a shower room and can comfortably accommodate four people. The van also has a large decking veranda which runs the full length of the van facing out across the countryside and we have garden furniture and a BBQ on the decking so you can eat al fresco and watch the sun go down. There are some great restaurants and pubs in either direction - Rick Stein's culinary empire in Padstow, Nathan Outlaw in Port Isaac, The Fish house at Fistral Newquay and a plethora of cheap eats and great pubs along the way. As for the Seven Bays... Mawgan Porth, Porthcothan, Treyarnon, Constantine, Booby's, Harlyn and Trevone beaches are all within easy striking distance, while the world famous Watergate Bay and Fistral Beach are up the road. The site is on a working farm with sheep, lambs, cats etc the other side of the hedge (and sometimes this side of it) so dogs must be kept on leads at all times. The decking is not entirely enclosed and you will need to travel a short distance for dog walking. There are relatively steep steps to enter the caravan and some noise from wind turbines nearby. Please feel to get in touch with any questions. Thanks for looking Babs and Scott.
