Small private island located between Angoulême and Cognac, on the "La Flow vélo" bike path, in the immediate vicinity of the pretty Bain des Dames beach. House with adjoining garden overlooking the river. The island is also home to a forest garden which makes it a real oasis for biodiversity! The space On the ground floor: A living room with lounge area (TV and DVD player), kitchenette (fridge, dishwasher, 4-burner stove, oven, microwave, filter coffee maker for ground coffee) and dining area. Outside the pool, you can enjoy the pleasure of swimming in the river. The house is located on the Île de Malvy, a small private island of just over 1 hectare. It is part of the beautiful village of Mosnac-Saint-Simeux and is accessed by a bridge. It is nestled in a green valley and sheltered by the river that surrounds it, so it is a very quiet place. You can discover the banks of Charente during a canoe ride, on foot or by bike. The Flow Vélo, a bike path, is less than a 1-minute walk from the island. Unless you prefer to go hiking to discover the pretty surrounding trails. For a cultural getaway, the island is ideally located between Angoulême and Cognac, respectively 25 and 45 minutes' drive away. These cities have the city of art and history label and many festivals and events are scheduled there throughout the year. There are many villages and sites to visit as well as many activities close to the island. Many activities are available on the pretty seaside resort of Bain des Dames, which, like the Île de Malvy, is located on the "La Flow Vélo" bike path (pretty sandy beach supervised in summer, slides, swings, zip line, archery, paddle board, pedal boat, kayak, health course, bowling alley...). Guest access You have the house and its adjoining garden to yourselves. Each house has a private garden. The residents of each house cannot cross paths if they confine themselves to the part of the garden that is dedicated to them. But nothing prevents you from getting to know each other, it's up to you. You also enjoy shared spaces between the Maison des Aulnes, the Maison des Frênes and your hosts: park and private wood (10,000 m2 of land in total), swimming pool (5 m x 10 m) and 160 m2 games room. Outside the pool, you can enjoy the pleasure of swimming in the river. Other things to note You can order your groceries in advance: there is a Super U drive-through in Chateauneuf-sur-Charentes (5 minutes from the house). You have a number of terminals at Super U to recharge your electric vehicle.
