Blackfly Cabin is in Vermontville New York a short drive from Saranac Lake in the heart of the Adirondack Mtns. We are 25 minutes from Lake Placid and a great place to base your ADK adventures. We are happy to have the opportunity to provide a safe and comfortable space to enjoy the ADK's. We are avid outdoorspeople and can provide advice and direction as needed to make your trip even more spectacular. All proceeds go to our daughter who is part of the USA Luge Olympic program. The space We are offering a small cabin with separate driveway. The cabin has one full size bed that sleeps 2 adults and a small futon that would sleep 2 children or 1 adult. It also has a small screened in porch to enjoy your morning coffee on and a large firepit to gather around at night. A pellet stove it the heat source for chilly nights and all linens are provided complete with extra blankets and pillows. The kitchen has a hot plate, toaster oven, refrigerator and coffee pot as well as a sink with hot and cold water. Pots, Pans, cooking utensils, tea pot and table settings for 4 are supplied. The cabin has an outdoor shower and a small bathroom with a composting toilet. Firewood is available on site for $5 a bin. We also have free range chickens and would be happy to provide you fresh eggs. No Smoking or Vaping is allowed on the property. We are usually available for local area attraction advice. Our interests include: MTN Biking, Hiking, Camping, Canoeing as well as general knowledge of the area. We are family oriented as we have 5 children and aware of things to do with or without kids. Located 1/4 mile from rte 3 which is the main road heading to Saranac Lake. Designated parking in front of the cabin with room for multiple cars and boat/trailer. Great screen porch with an outdoor firepit. Grass field next to Lyon Brook. Quiet area with a spring nearby with great tasting water. If you are traveling with a pleasure/fishing boat we have parking to accommodate it.
