Set on the top of a small hill and overlooking Thornton's Peak and the Daintree World Heritage rainforest, the Epiphyte B & B is the perfect place to use as a base to explore reef, forest and the tropics or to simply relax and recharge. Welcome! The space The Epiphyte B & B is a unique eco-accommodation house in the Daintree World Heritage rainforest, 2 hours north of Cairns near Cape Tribulation. Set atop a small hill and with spectacular views across the forest to Thornton Peak and the Alexandra Range, The Epiphyte is just minutes away from tranquil beaches, boardwalks and visitor centers and close to (but quieter than) the busy tourism hub of Cape Tribulation. With open space visitor lounges and verandahs, spectacular views and en-suite double rooms with private balconies, The Epiphyte is the perfect place for singles, couples or families/groups. Relax, unwind, visit our wonderful beaches and waterholes, experience the magical Daintree rainforest and the oldest flowering plants on the planet. There are 4 rooms in the main house; 1 single, 1 double & 2 superior double / family rooms along with a private cabin 50 m from the main house. Room rates from $80/single or $130 - $150/double. The Golden Orchid Retreat (cabin) from $170/night. Prices include a delicious tropical breakfast plus tea/coffee anytime. We can also advise you about and book all tours and activities. Guest access The Epiphyte has a well-equiped kitchen available for guest use, there is a great library, excellent hammocks and fantastic views. Breakfast is included and tea/coffee is available free of charge anytime. Limited access to wifi is available if required. Other things to note While there is no wifi or mobile phone access available at the Epiphyte, it is possible for guests to connect to Telstra mobile phone services (and data) just 300m away down the road. Due to bank fees and charges we prefer cash for all payments. As there are limited ATMs in the Daintree please try to bring cash with you. We can accept all major credit and debit cards for payments however and there is a surcharge to cover the bank fees: 2% for all local credit and debit cards/ 4% for all international credit and debit cards.
