Fellside Barn, 2 bathrooms

This historic barn retains many original features, including oak beams. There is a large lounge/kitchen/diner with double bedroom and bathroom (ground floor-suitable for guests with limited mobility), twin bedroom and bathroom (lower ground floor). A 3rd single bed can be added for a fifth guest. Set in 54 acres of traditional farmland, there are stunning, scenic walks from the doorstep. Kendal, Bowness : 20 min drive. . 2 night minimum stay at weekends. Earlier check in is often possible. The space Fellside Barn is the larger of two barn conversions (Orchard Barn is adjacent). The large open plan living/diner/kitchen is light and airy with deep windows to 3 sides. The kitchen is well equipped with: fridge with icebox, microwave, electric hob and oven. Off this room we have a double bedroom with views onto the farm courtyard and countryside beyond and a large full bathroom with electric shower over the bath. Hand rails have been installed to aid our less mobile guests. Stairs lead down to the lower ground floor where there is plenty of storage, before entering the twin bedroom and bathroom with bath and shower over. Fellside Barn offers a peaceful retreat with many walks straight from the doorstep, including a stroll through the woods to the Lyth Valley Hotel. There are stunning views to be enjoyed. An additional bed is added to the twin bedroom, if required, to accommodate a 5th guest. The water pressure can be quite low. Hot water is via immersion heater. Orchard Barn (adjoining) shares the driveway. The driveway is quite narrow but we offer plenty of additional parking in the farm courtyard and elsewhere for larger vehicles. Planted shrubs offers privacy between the 2 barn conversions along with a beautiful picnic area which can be used by either barn Generally 2 night min at weekends (but may be flexible) Pets are welcome. An additional £20 per pet is requested Charging of electric cars is not permitted Hot water is supplied by an immersion heater and stored in a cylinder tank. If long showers , deep bath are taken this will deplete the hot water and it will need time to heat up again. Guest access Guests have access to the entire barn and outside space.
