Historic brownstone - Rm4

Welcome to 255 West Guesthouse, a quintessential brownstone in the heart of Harlem. Local amenities include a short walk to the vibrant shopping district of 125th St, Columbia University, and tons of independent restaurants, shops, galleries. Grab food from top-rated restaurants like Red Rooster or Clay. 3 blocks to A/C/B or 2/3 express Subway lines get you to Midtown in 15 minutes. The space This is a 1910 brownstone with tons of original details. All bedrooms have their own, private bathrooms. This room: This bedroom has an Art Deco flair, Queen bed, original moldings and mantel and ornamental fireplace, and faces the street with a lovely view of other brownstones. Please note: your bathroom is PRIVATE but this is the only room (Room 4) on the property that does not have an attached bathroom (it's down the hall) -- but it happens to be the nicest bathroom! And it's still completely private, just your use. The bathroom is newly redone with modern double shower heads, double sinks, and a skylight. If an attached bath is a must for you, we totally get it -- check out the other rooms by adding the following after "airbnb.com" in your search bar: /h/255westguesthouse1 /h/255westguesthouse2 /h/255westguesthouse3 The kitchen has plenty of basics to cook with if needed (or to store and reheat leftovers from some awesome restaurant you just went to the night before). A spiral staircase leads to the rooftop. While we don't have any furniture up there yet, you are more than free to take a drink up there and enjoy the open air. Come back and we'll hopefully have some outdoor lounge seats up there. Guest access Smart door lock to the house and physical personal room key. Other things to note Please remember, this is our house. We are so happy to share it with you. And we're not some big investor or corporate. Just us. Just this property. We also have two small kids. They don't cry in the middle of the night, but on the rare occasion our littlest had a long day he may cry when going down around 7-8pm. We hope you'll be out to an amazing dinner then anyway. It's rare. But forgive us. And remember, it's New York City. We can't control honking cars or music passing by. We love those sounds; enjoy them while you're here. We've already taken extensive precautionary measures, but if you see a bug, come tell us and we'll spray something or call the company in.
