La Charronnière: Exclusive Rental of 2 gites

You and your party will have exclusive use of the entire rental property which can sleep up to 16. The 2 gites are set around a pretty courtyard with a covered games barn and outdoor kitchen area and large, heated swimming pool. The space Les Écuries is a spacious 5-bedroom gite. Upstairs there are two double bedrooms and two twin bedrooms. The 5th bedroom, located on the ground floor, is easily accessible and has a king-sized bed. Additionally, there is a small double sofa bed in the lounge if required. There are two bathrooms upstairs with a larger wet-room style bathroom on the ground floor. Les Écuries can sleep up to 12 people comfortably, using a sofa bed. La P'tite Boulangerie has one king bedroom and a double sofa bed in the lounge, with plenty of room for a put u up bed in the bedroom suitable for a child. The whole property can accommodate 16 with use of the sofa beds. Both gites have their own well equipped kitchen and indoor dining areas. The Ecuries has a large open plan living and dining space. There is a fully equipped, covered outdoor kitchen with dining area and built in BBQ in the courtyard. The games hanger has a pool table, table tennis, shuffleboard, darts, a foosball table and various board and outdoor games equipment. Guests are invited to have a round on the six hole crazy golf course which can be found behind the outdoor kitchen area. The outdoor kitchen and games room are both covered and so fully functional even in the winter months. There is a laundry room with washing machine for guest use. Pool toilets and shower can also be found in the courtyard. The large, heated swimming pool is surrounded by a secluded grassed area for sunbathing. The pool area is fenced for child safety and contains sun loungers and seating. To the side of the pool is a children's play area complete with Wendy house and swing and slide set to keep the younger ones entertained while you relax by the pool. The swimming pool is open from May - September, weather permitting. We cover the pool at night to maintain the temperature. Each gite is fully equipped with all you could want for a self catering holiday and both benefit from free WiFi connection and smart TVs. We love animals and, if you have booked exclusive rental of the whole property only, then we are happy to welcome well behaved dogs, by prior agreement. Just 2 miles away is the village of Chaunay with a small shop, tabac, chemist, and a bakery. There is also a casual restaurant open for simple lunches. Larger supermarkets such as Intermarche and Super U are within a 15 minute drive of the property. La Charronnière is fully immersed in the French countryside. It is ideal for families, large groups, walkers, cyclists (roads are practically empty), bird watchers, those keen on fishing, canoeing and golfers. We are within 15 minutes drive of the Vallee de Singe (Valley of the Monkeys) and just 40 minutes from popular theme park Futuroscope and Poitiers. Our house is on site but separate and away from the guest areas. Guests have their privacy but we are available should you require any assistance during your stay. Please note that we are not a party venue. Music must be turned off at 11pm as we have neighbours and the sound travels in the rural area. Large speakers and DJ decks are forbidden. Guest access When renting the whole property you will have exclusive use of all amenities listed. Other things to note The pool is heated and open from May to September, subject to weather conditions. We close the pool cover at night, to help retain its heat, and reopen it in the morning. Pets will only be accepted by prior agreement and only if you have booked the whole property. We are not a party destination and music is not allowed after 11pm. Large speakers and DJ decks are strictly forbidden. Our house is on site but separate and away from the guest areas. Guests have their privacy but we are available should you require any assistance during your stay. We do not charge for cleaning and so ask that the gites are left tidy, in the state you found them.
