Large open plan barn with swimming pool

A peaceful hidden gem in the forest suitable for 2 adults and 2 children. The old barn was rebuilt in 2004 but retains stone walls, a rustic style and high ceilings. It is for people who like simple living and a dip in the pool surrounded by countryside. You will be within easy distance of local country towns Marmande and Casteljaloux. There is a slope to the front door from the parking, 3 steps from the big entrance hall to the large living area then no other steps. One step into the pool area. The space Airy high ceilings with lovely views over the forest and further out the flood plain of the Garonne below. You have all you need in one large comfortable space with a well equipped kitchen and monastery table. The kitchen has one oven and a 5 hob gas cooker. The bathroom is large with a bath and walk in shower. This is separated from the kitchen area by a utility room with a fridge freezer and washing machine. There are two double sofa beds and a double bed for adequate sleeping space. In the winter we have underfloor heating and in summer air conditioning. The pool is just across the garden and for your private use. Here you will find peace and tranquility as you look out into the trees and see the squirrels running from branch to branch with the distant sound of the world. It is extremely comfortable and serene. This is our home and has some wear and tear. Some of the wooden planks around the side of the house and by the pool are softened and you need to be careful. Guest access There is a gate to the property and parking outside the house. The drive is fine for normal cars but a little bumpy. You can walk 1,5kms to Samazan village but a car is necessary to drive to the local shops in Pont des Sables or Marmande or Casteljaloux. There is no shop in Samazan. Other things to note This house is close to several medium sized towns but is secluded and set back in it's own space. There is a large barn which we store our belongings in and the old side of the house is not for public use as we use it ourselves. You may find yourselves alone on the property and we ask that you respect our home and the nature around it.
