Our sunny, comfortable, two-storey house is ideal for a couple or a couple with small children. The master bedroom/ living area upstairs is spacious with beautiful views of Kapiti Island. The stairs are a little awkward for the elderly and the very young although we now have carpet tiles on the stairs. There is no handrail. There is no bathroom upstairs. Sitting/ kitchen area downstairs and the bathroom and second bedroom are also downstairs. The space Huge, upstairs master bedroom that looks out to spectacular views of Kapiti and Mana Islands. Our house is not beachfront but there is a close view towards Kapiti Island. Access to the beach is via the public access at the end of Arawa Street. All day sun, winter and summer. The house is on an elevated, flat section and there is convenient access ( you can drive right to the front door). Exquisite sunsets as the sun sets on the horizon for most of the year. The house is very well-equipped; great little kitchen, dining table and chairs, sofas, large master bedroom with comfortable queen bed, second bedroom has 2 single beds, small bathroom with deep bath and overhead shower, separate laundry with washing machine, ironing board. You are welcome to use everything we use; the books, games, Dvds, petanque, bikes, kayaks, barbecue. This house is ideal for a couple because the upstairs master bedroom is spacious, comfortable and has wonderful views. The downstairs bedroom is really only suitable for young children or elderly people who do not wish to climb the stairs Please enquire about a discount for a stay of longer than 7 days outside peak holiday time. Guest access Everything in the house, laundry and garage can be used by guests. The bach ( NZ word for a beach house, and pronounced 'batch') is well equipped with everything you might need. Other things to note Two bikes, 2 sea kayaks, beach games, petanque and barbecue are all at the house. Easter, Labour weekend, Christmas and New Year have a 5 night minimum booking. No smoking. Definitely no pets. No shoes in the house Please tell us the names of all guests staying at the house.
