*** Luxurious apartment located inside #VILLA RICETRO, a building built in the mid-1800s. -> The structure has 6 beds, a living area with built-in kitchen equipped with fridge, oven, dishwasher, microwave and other essential services, a complete bathroom. -> The large rooms will make you live a comfortable experience in our beautiful Villa on the outskirts of Montemagno. ♥Enjoy a stylish holiday in this unique space.♥ The space The farm called Villa Ricetro is located on the top of a hilly ridge between the Versilia coast and the Apuan Alps at 300 meters above sea level, surrounded by nature among olive groves and centuries-old woods. The name Ricetro derives from the Latin Ilicitrum, holm oak tree. The area was rich in woods in Roman times. From Montemagno passed the ancient Via Francigena or Romea which linked northern Europe to the Holy Land. The Ricetro farm was built in the first half of the 1800s by extending a small, much older building several times. A notary document displayed in a painting in the #Francesca 1# house bears the date of 1487. The nucleus in addition to the manor house included an olive mill for the milling of olives, the girabue where an animal turned around a gear pole to transmit movement to the millstones of the adjacent mill, stables and barns. Where the swimming pool is now there was the farm's vegetable garden. We restored about 15 years ago trying to keep the historicity of the structure as much as possible. Guest access The house has a garden where you can have lunch outdoors. Available and shared with other guests, if present, we offer: -> the large garden -> the area with the hot tub and the panoramic swimming pool from which it is possible to admire the Tyrrhenian coast up to Livorno and on clear days Corsica.
