Description

4 charming pods (sleeping a max 16 guests on this airbnb site) with a proper double bed + 2 singles if needed in stunning countryside in meadows leading to a stream. (more pods available if needed). Each pod is attractively furnished and has a firepit for your group + bbq. As an optional extra we have a wonderful large Mongolian Yurt used as entertainment/living space (ideal if raining) Please ask. Excellent compost loos, hot showers and washup area. Great walks & famous Bluebell Railway nearby. The space We have this as a multi listing on airbnb to prevent the calendar getting blocked when we still have availability. OPEN MAY - OCTOBER. Each pod is made from timber and canvas with a vaulted roof and wooden floor and door, so plenty of height. They all have pretty bed spreads, cushions, rugs, blankets, fairy lights, duvets, mattress protectors and pillows, but not duvet covers, linen, towels or sleeping bags. We provide 2 chairs and 2 stools per pod. Subject to availability you can rent as many pods as you like from 1-13. On this Air bnb site it is only 4 pods but please do ask if you want more. As an extra you can rent one of our two Mongolian Yurts to keep dry ( it occasionally rains!) so you have somewhere to sit with your friends as living / entertainment space. The 7 meter yurt is decorated with pretty hanging cloths, sofas, cushions, stools a coffee table and is really cosy. Please ask if you would like a large yurt as this is an extra. (£175 per night) We have new (2025) very well designed compost loos and 2 shower cubicles looking up to the stars, which everyone seems to love. Please note that we are in a field in the countryside, so off grid. Lighting is by solar power and hot water is by gas canisters. We can supply you with trestle tables and benches, a brazier or fire pits, a bbq and a very large cool box if renting the yurt. Although neighbours are not that close by, we would not want to disturb them with music, therefore it is not allowed. Well behaved dogs on leads are welcome. There is plenty of room for games in the field. If you take 11 pods and at least one of our Mongolian yurts we will reduce the price to £100 per night and guarantee that you have the site exclusively to yourselves. Mobile phone signal is mostly fine. Lights are all solar and hot water by gas canisters. We can sell you wood and charcoal for fires and bbqs. We are in very pretty countryside surrounded by woodland with a stream. There are plenty of walks one being to the popular Anchor pub where you can rent out boats. We are on the edge of Barcombe which has good village stores and a pub, The Royal Oak. Lewes a pretty market town with excellent shops and restaurants a castle plus Waitrose, Tescos and Aldi. When we have had a lot of rain the site can get wet, so wellington boots and slip on shoes are advisable for going in and out of the pods and yurts. Guest access Parking is on site in an allocated spot not far from the yurts and pods. There are plenty of footpaths for beautiful walks. Other things to note WHAT TO BRING: For your double beds, bring duvet cover, double sheet, pillow cases. For single Vango self inflating mattresses: bring sleeping bags, pillow cases and blankets if particularly cold. Towels, Torch Slip on shoes for going in and out of pods and yurts and Wellington boots if weather is wet. All cooking and bbq utensils. Matches and firelighters Ice for cool box We can sell you logs, kindling and charcoal. Mobile phone charge banks If you are planning on partying then that is fine, with banter around the fires, but we do not allow music at this site as would not want to disturb local people or other guests. We do have a Camp Manager who is around who can help you with anything needed. Smoking in the yurts and pods is not allowed. Please keep dogs on leads at all times, so they do not wander off or chase pheasants or deer and obviously clear up after them. Please do not take the soft furnishings outside as they can get muddy. The short track leading up to the meadow is a track rather than a smooth drive so please drive slowly and carefully Mobile signal at the site is mostly fine. Remember we are off grid so all lighting and heating of water is solar and gas canisters. You can drink the water. All rubbish is to be taken away.
