Welcome to The Birdhouse Retreat! Our boutique property is nestled in the midst of nature, offering a serene retreat from the chaos of city life. We are located at pretty much the highest spot in the whole Dharamshala region where you can stay. Surrounded by untouched forests and away from the crowds and noise, we invite you to experience the perfect mountain getaway. The cherry on the cake is the attached balcony which has spectacular views of the best sunset you'll see in the mountains. The space Our boutique property boasts comfortable and cozy accommodation options for your stay. The first floor features 3 spacious double rooms and a triple occupancy room, each with attached bathrooms and private balconies that offer stunning views of the natural surroundings. This room is on the first floor and has an attached bathroom as well as a beautiful balcony that lets you look at the amazing sunset views right from your room! This is a triple occupancy room and has one double bed and one single bed. The ground floor houses a single occupancy room and a triple occupancy room, both with attached bathrooms. Our separate dining area on the first floor can accommodate up to 6-8 guests, providing the perfect setting for a delicious meal with friends and family. The property's gardens and open spaces are perfect for a serene picnic, allowing you to bask in the beauty of nature. Guest access Guests have access to the whole property (except for other guest rooms) including the gardens and the terrace. We have multiple open areas where the guests can relax, and chill. Picnics in the grounds are encouraged! Other things to note We are situated near the Gallu Devi Temple, just 5 kms away from Mcleodganj Market. Located at the top of the Dharamkot hill, our property is surrounded by lush jungles, offering a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle of city life. Our location is perfect for those who love exploring the outdoors, with plenty of hiking trails nearby to explore. Just a 15-minute walk away, Upper Dharamkot is home to numerous cafes and restaurants, perfect for sampling the local cuisine. -----> Please Note - While our property is accessible by road, the last 2.5 kms of the road leading to us is untarred and narrow in spots, making it difficult for private cars with low ground clearance to come up. However, taxis are readily available on request to transport you up to our property, and to take you wherever you wish to go. If you prefer, you can also take a taxi till Upper Dharamkot and walk up to Gallu, although we do not recommend this if you have luggage. For your convenience, we have provided a list of taxi rates from various locations, including the airport and bus stands, so you can plan your travel accordingly.
