The Arch
The Arch
Description
The Arch is a quirky and cosy cottage set opposite the church in the Cornish village of Landrake. Featuring a lounge with a wood burner, a pretty kitchen and open tread stairs to rooms set above the archway, this house is full of charm. Situated close to the Cornwall/Devon border and only 10 miles from the sea, Landrake is the perfect place to explore both Cornwall and Devon from. Start your adventure here! The space With part of the property forming an archway to the lane beyond, the upstairs of The Arch is twice the size of the downstairs! This is a quirky cottage full of character, including some low doorways and steep, narrow open tread stairs. The whole cottage is cosy and beautifully decorated and features a log burner for chilly winter evenings. In the lounge you'll find books, games, television and a comfy sofa to curl up on. The kitchen is equipped with an electric oven and hob, a fridge with ice box and a washer/dryer. You'll find everything you need if you plan to cook, and a pub one minute down the road if you plan to let someone else cook for you! The dining table seats 4 and neatly folds away when not in use. Upstairs you'll find a spacious bathroom with a toilet, wash basin and shower. The Fox room is a cosy double to snuggle up in, while the Forest room comfortably sleeps two in single beds. Both rooms have plenty of storage space. Parking is on street, about 20 metres from the entrance to the property. Whether you plan to explore and adventure around Cornwall and Devon, or curl up and hide away, The Arch is the perfect escape. Guest access Guests have access to the full cottage with private entrance. Other things to note Dogs and other pets: One well trained, quiet dog is welcome at the Arch. Please be aware there is no garden or yard attached to the property, so you will need to take your dogs up the lane to toilet them, and lively dogs will need extra walks in lieu of a back garden. The property has narrow, open tread stairs so pets must be supervised to ensure their safety on these stairs. Please be aware that people will pass through the archway to access the lane beyond - some dogs struggle to adjust to this as they can hear the comings and goings. The cottage is also part of a terrace so excessive barking will disturb the neighbours - please take this into account when booking if you have a more vocal dog! Due to the size of the property and it’s lack of garden, it is not suitable for more than one dog to stay at any one time. Long stays (over 2 weeks) may not be suitable for dogs, but will be considered depending on the size and temperament of your dog. Other pets are also welcome, but will be considered on a case by case basis.
