Mary river Farmstay, SE Qld

4 bedrooms: 1 with a double bed. 1 with a queen bed. 1 with a single bed. The large family room has 1 queen bed plus a double & single bunk bed. Kitchen: electric stove + oven, microwave, refrigerator& utensils. The farm has a herd of cows, 1 klm of Mary River frontage with birds, lungfish, frogs and platypus. Scenic bush walking. We have a secure enclosure for dogs on the verandah, but prefer not inside the house. Ponds near house have rare frogs, often active in wet weather. The space There are 150 acres of land to wander through, with plenty of large trees and bush areas to explore. The river area has lots of wildlife, platypus, fish, birds and turtles. The river is 700meters from the house and easily accessible with normal cars. The bank of the river is steep, and has cattle walkways. Kids can pat cows thru a fence in a safe way. There’s fishing or bush walking along the river. We have kangaroos and wallabies. The accommodation has everything you need for cooking, sleeping and showering. We provide coffee, tea, sugar, cereal and milk. Guest access The washing machine is not for guests to use. Guests who stay 5 days or more will be able to use washing machine by arrangement with Vassana. There are clothes, spare linen and cleaning equipment stored in some of the cupboards. Other things to note We ask guests to keep away from the sheds and machinery please. Paddocks occupied by the cattle should not be entered. If a gate is closed and you wish to enter, it MUST be closed after using it. The cattle are very protective of the calves and the bull is unpredictable.
