The space Accomodation You are looking for a place in the mountains where you can give your soul a rest and take a very deep fresh breath? Well, then you are definitely right here with us. Hellengerst is a very idyllic place and the house is built absolutely natural and offers everything you can think of: 160m² of living area in two floors, big tiled fireplace, two balconies with a view right into the mountains of the Allgäu. You can see the Zugspitze and the Austrian Alps if the weather is good. You’re going to feel well whether you are a couple, a family or a group. Environment The house is situated quite central and you will get to a lot of well-known destinations in a short time. There are historical cities like Kempten, Isny and Lindau with their museums, art galleries, theatres, cinemas, romantic churches and loads of shopping options. The castle Neuschwanstein and Hohenschwangau are also only a breath away. For families with kids there is “Allgäulino” in Wertach and the “ Ravensburger Playland” available. Sports You want to relax or love it more active? There is something to do for everybody whether you book in summer or winter. In Hellengerst there is an 18 hole golf course offering a grand view right into the alps. For the winter fans you can choose between lots of attractive cross-country ski trails or you go skiing in the mountains with various ski fields offering a big variety of slopes ranging from easy to really challenging. In summer the cable car of the Fellhorn and Nebelhorn Mountains take you up into the incomparable world of the Alps. Worthwhile to see around there is also the Breitachklamm in Oberstdorf, the Sturmannshöhle in Obermaiselstein and the Eistobel. Cultural offers Huge big fires at the end of winter, Concerts offered by local bands in spring, classical theatre, lots of festivals on castles, in cattle deviation festivals in September at various places, brass bands playing at the end of the year and lots more. The well know festivals on Lake Constance in Bregenz, the Kaufbeurer Dancing Festival and also lots of performances in Füssen in the Festival house are included in the cultural offers. Guest access There is also a small apartment in the basement that is not for rent. The garden is unfenced and is not part of the rented unit. A laundry room with a dryer is located in the basement and can be used shared if needed. Bed linen and towels can be booked as a laundry package (€15/person). This is done by prior arrangement and is paid directly on site. In addition to the central heating, the house has a wood-burning stove, which can only be used by guests with experience. The house has 7 beds plus a wood-burning crib. Two additional high-quality mattresses can be added if needed. The tourist tax (currently €2.50/person per day) is payable in cash upon arrival.
