The Hideaway At Kilbride Farm.

The Hideaway is close to the beach and a 10 minute drive from the village, in a rural location. It is a self contained annex attached to the owners accommodation. It has one bedroom with a super king sized bed in it and space to erect a Z bed for a child, a large bathroom and a lounge with a kitchenette that has a 4 ring hob, and a combi microwave/convection oven. In the lounge area there is a double sofa bed. We feel that it is best suited to up to 3 adults or couples with up to 2 children. The space You could not ask for a better place for a peaceful break away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The Hideaway is less than a 10 minute drive from Kames and Tighnabruaich with all the amenities that this lovely little village has to offer, 3 pubs/restaurants, a bistro, a village store, delicatessen, art gallery, Premier shop, post office 2 tea rooms and stunning views over to Bute, and yet you can enjoy our isolated rural location and the peace and quiet. We are situated at the very start of the track that leads down to gorgeous Ostel Bay (aka Kilbride Bay), the jewel in the crown of Argylls secret coast, you can take a 15-20 minute stroll down the track and admire the views to Arran on the way and then when you get to the bay be amazed at the beautiful secluded sandy beach with Arran directly in front of you. On sunny days it can be quite popular but if you come out of season or on more overcast days you will quite often be the only people there... bliss!! Just sit there and let the rest of the world disappear. Guest access The Hideaway is formed from an annex which is attached to Kilbride Farmhouse and yet is a comfortable and completely seperate dwelling at the same time. You have your own access via the patio doors at the rear of the property and your own little pathway down the side of it to get to the patio. There is a spacious bedroom with a super king sized bed which a previous guest has described as being so comfortable its like sleeping on a cloud! The bathroom is spacious with a lovely deep bath, a separate shower cubicle, a WC and wash hand basin. Towels are supplied for you. The lounge has a small kitchenette at one end with a fridge, electric hob, combi microwave/convection oven, kettle, toaster and sink. There is a small dining table and 4 chairs. The lounge area itself has a comfy sofa that converts to a double bed plus a rocking chair that you can sit and admire the view in. There is a TV with freeview channels and there is internet access. You have your own private patio and whilst you share our garden we will not disturb you. There is a babbling burn running down the garden and directly down the side of The Hideaway. There is a layby to the side of the house but guest parking is off road on our grounds. Other things to note Also on site, in an area away from The Hideaway, we have a small bothy that we open up as cafe/takeaway for people visiting the beach. We sell snacks, lunches, home made soup and home baking as well as hot and cold drinks and ice creams. We are also happy to make up packed lunches to be enjoyed on the beach. We love people to bring their well behaved pets with them. We have cats and dogs ourselves. Our dogs are contained in their own securely fenced area but the garden area to The Hideaway is not securely fenced so we ask people to observe their dogs when outside at all times and to clear up any mess they make. We also ask that you kindly take the necessary precautions to protect the furniture and carpets from dogs wet and sandy from the beach. We expect any damage caused by pets or guests to be paid for in full.
