Villa Il Cardinale is a very special elegant and historic residence. It makes its guests feel at home from the moment they walk in. Only 8km from Rome centre, it feels like a country home, with beautiful gardens and very spacious rooms. A salt water swimming pool, a yoga area in the large, beautiful garden, and a separate cottage in the grounds, make it the perfect retreat for families, weddings. The space This is a beautiful, historic Roman Villa, going back to the 1st century AD up to the Renaissance and the 18th century. Totally refurbished, with magnificent gardens and terraces, completely private, 5 fireplaces, a large barbecue and patio. We have a hot-tub for 6 people in the midst of the archaeological area (extra charge) and a salt-water pool in the upper garden. A yoga platform for those keen on practicing the ancient art of relaxation and meditation. 8 km from the center of Rome, just off the Via Salaria. It accommodates 12 people, it has two kitchens. Very close to the centre of Rome, and yet a peaceful retreat and a perfect place to spend hours in the company of your family and friends. Ideal for friends reunions, family celebrations and weddings. A train to the center of Rome is 5 minutes drive and it takes 15 minutes to reach Rome. The bedrooms and living rooms rooms are wonderful with high ceilings, furnished with antique furniture for lovers of beautiful things. There is an excellent pizzeria/restaurant up the hill. A huge kitchen with an open fire and a dining room, and a sitting room, each with their own antique fireplace, are available for the use of the guests who will sleep on the upper floor. Breakfast, dinners and room cleaning service upon request, as well as many other services (to be booked in advance). Guest access Depending on the number of guests and the booking requirements guests will have access to one or more rooms, one or two kitchens, upstairs or downstairs of the villa. We have two washing machines, and all appliances. Wi-Fi throughout. Other things to note We will work out all extra costs together with you and write a detailed contract once you confirm your booking. We can add event planning, yoga lessons, cooking lessons, ice-cream making demonstrations, wine tasting, art history tours of Rome, a concierge service and more. We can take care of your transportation and book restaurants and visits to museums etc. All you need to do is tell us well in advance, and we can organise all to make your stay a truly special one.
