The space The apartment, in Via Ravecca street in the zone of Sarzano, is situated on the top floor of an old historic building and has two large terraces for exclusive use, one completely surrounding the flat and one on the roof of the flat offering an amazing view of the city. The apartment is in the centre of the pedestrian historic and economic-financial area with access to all commercial facilities: post office, banks and the main shopping areas such as via XX Settembre, via San Lorenzo, via Roma, via XXV Aprile, via XII Ottobre, etc. In via Ravecca, one can find a chemist’s, a newsagent’s, a tobacconist’s, a stationer’s, a hairdresser’s,bakeries, restaurants and bars, a supermarket, an outdoor market selling fresh fish, meat, cold meats, cheese, fruit and vegetables, an ice cream shop, a shop selling bio products and even an automatic laundrette. Shops selling local products such as focaccia, farinata, savoury pies and pesto sauce can also be found in this street. The flat is only a short walk to the underground - Sarzano/Sant’Agostino stop and the De Ferrari stop as well as to various bus stops and taxi ranks. It’s also very near to the house of Christopher Colombus, the Opera Theatre, the Sant’Agostino Museum and other main touristic attractions such as the San Lorenzo Cathedral, Palazzo Ducale, Palazzo della Borsa, Via Garibaldi with its famous palazzi dei Rolli; the port of embarkation for Portofino, the Cinque Terre, the Ligurian coast and the Cetacean Sanctuary. The house is built in Genoese style with marble sink for the kitchen and 1894 handmade mosaic floors. No lift/elevator in this old construction, only 82 wide, regular slate steps leading to the apartment and its terraces from where, immersed in silence, one is able to admire the entire city of Genoa and its spectacular sunsets. The flat, very bright owing to its many windows as seen in the photos, is composed of an entrance hall, kitchen, living room, bathroom and two bedrooms both with a double bed which can be divided into two singles. The fifth bed consists of a 190x70 cm pouf bed with metal mesh support with a 7 cm high foam mattress. All the rooms look onto and have access to the main terrace which leads to the top terrace by a cast iron winding staircase. It is provided with independent heating system and all windows have thermal insulation. Air conditioning is not necessary thanks to the position of the flat and its many windows. Completely furnished inside as well as having an outside table and chairs, comfortable sunbeds and a food trolley.
