Just a 2 minute walk to the beach, our unique, original Cottage is set within Murramarang National Park, offering a tranquil coastal retreat. Perfect for families or up to 6 guests, it’s quiet, comfortable & fully renovated. The Cottage features 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, air conditioning, Wi-fi, a fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher, and timber floors throughout. All linen is provided; please bring beach towels. Enjoy the coast at your doorstep and the charm of kangaroos grazing in the garden. The space Relax on the cosy north-facing verandah; the perfect spot to enjoy a morning coffee, while listening to the birds. The spacious rear deck is ideal for entertaining, with a Weber gas BBQ, outdoor table, chairs and umbrella, with views towards the ocean and towering gum trees. Steps lead down to the fully fenced garden featuring a lawn for backyard cricket, vibrant hydrangeas and a generous new laundry with private modern shower. The Cottage features: - open-plan living, dining and fully equipped cook’s kitchen with dishwasher - comfortable furnishings including a large linen sofa and daybed - 3 bathrooms - reverse cycle air conditioning in living areas and 2 bedrooms - WiFi, digital smart TV and excellent mobile coverage - child’s portable cot and portable gate. Sleeping arrangements & linen: - sleeps 6 guests across 3 bedrooms. - 2 bedrooms each with queen beds (1 with air conditioning) - 1 bedroom with two single beds (with air conditioning) All beds are made with fresh linen and doonas; extra pillows, blankets and rugs are available. All bath towels are provided, however please bring beach towels and beach equipment. Other facilities: - large outdoor deck with BBQ and outdoor dining - single garage connected to the Cottage providing off-street parking - fully fenced garden (front and back) - a separate laundry with washer & dryer Kitchen and amenities The kitchen is fully equipped for full catering including plates, cutlery, utensils, glasses, pots and pans, baking dishes and child-friendly items. Coffee and tea making including Bialetti stove top, plunger & instant coffee, tea leaves, tea pot & tea bags (including herbal options). The pantry is well stocked with essentials & extra items for guests to enjoy. Drinking water is filtered at the sink. South Durras offers endless opportunities for swimming, fishing, canoeing, bike riding, mountain biking, bush walking, or simply slowing down and unwinding. Wildlife is abundant, with kangaroos, possums, and beautiful birds often visiting. The kangaroos may wander through the garden. While watching them up close is a special part of your stay, please enjoy them from a distance, as they are wild and should not be fed or touched. Guest access Guests enjoy full access to the Cottage, with entry via a secure keycode that will be shared shortly before your arrival. Other things to note Pricing is based on 6 guests with full access to the Cottage. Minimum stay: - 2 nights except during the following periods: - long weekends and school holidays: 3 night minimum - Christmas/January: 6 night minimum stay - Easter: 4 night minimum if your booking includes or starts or ends on any Easter Day (ie Maundy Thursday to Easter Monday inclusive) House rules: - please no vaping or smoking - not suitable for pets - Check in after 2pm / Check out after 10am late (earlier check in or check may be available upon request) - please – no loud parties or excessive noise as South Durras is a peaceful area - please leave the Cottage in a tidy condition, empty rubbish and compost and please clean the BBQ before departure. Water and septic: South Durras is a quiet village surrounded by Murramarang National Park. The Cottage relies on rainwater tanks for all water (including drinking water), and an efficient, well maintained septic system. Please use water thoughtfully, taking shorter showers. Managing sand: Please wash the sand off your feet before entering the house or showering. A outdoor tap is located near the laundry. This helps keep the house clean and the wooden floors polished.
