Boat-inspired house between the sea and the mountains. Ideal for a serene break surrounded by birdsong and panoramic views. A great base for exploring the "real Mauritius"! The space All the bedrooms have en suite bathrooms. Bedroom 1 is located on the first floor and features a king-size bed and magnificent sea views. Bedroom 2, also on the first floor, has a double bed and countryside views. Bedroom 3 is on the ground floor, with a double and a single bed. Bedroom 4 is on the ground floor, with 2 single beds. At the heart of the house is the large, bright, open-plan sitting, kitchen and dining room on the first floor. Patio doors lead to the large balcony with its commanding views over the sea and hills. A second cosy sitting room can be found on the ground floor. Continental breakfast is included. I'm passionate about Mauritian food - ask me for recommendations of local restaurants and foods to try! Alternatively, I'd be happy to arrange home-cooked meals or picnics on request - please ask me. Guest access Feel free to borrow books and watch TV (French and English channels available). Wifi is also available. Parking is available for one car per booking. Guests can use our kettle, store a small quantity of drinks and small food items but all cooking will be done by your hostess. During your stay I will welcome you to my home and offer any guidance you need to help you explore and enjoy the beautiful island of Mauritius. Other things to note Bois des Amourettes is on the East coast of Mauritius, with easy access to the airport. Local highlights include the boat tours to the islands and the coral reef, the marine park at Blue Bay and the famous Île Aux Cerfs. This area has wonderful opportunities for nature-lovers including the Domaine du Chasseur and Ferney Valley reserves featuring extensive walking and biking trails.
