It's a great place to stay if you want to enjoy outdoor activities or visit a winery or whisky distillery. The name of the city is attributed to the location with its rewarding view of mount Fuji. If you love Ghibli animes, then we've got some great news: Director Hayao Miyazaki owns a retreat in our neighborhood. Not so many people know that some of the background scenes in the animes were modeled after the stunning beauty that Fujimi's nature has got to offer.
