Our facility features its own chocolate shop, where chocolate treats, and other locally made products and artisan goods are available for purchase. Our interactive space offers insights into the history of chocolate making, the geography of cacao cultivation, and the modern day agriculture of this ancient ‘food of the gods’. In partnership with Ugandan farmers, we source high-quality cacao from Bundibugyo in western Uganda, to process into chocolate and cocoa products on site, and visitors have the opportunity to explore the entire chocolate-making process, from cocoa beans to the finest chocolate bars. Specialised tours include chocolate tastings, and workshop guests get the opportunity to create their own handmade treats with a wide variety of regional ingredients.
