The Convent of Ormes

Built in 1820, the Couvent des Ormes was first a religious school. Some signs bear witness to this, such as the cross on the facade or the unfinished fresco in the old classroom. Then a summer camp, then an artist's studio, the Convent is now a unique and peaceful residence, ideal for spending a few days with family or friends, teleworking, relaxing by the pool and sharing good times together, in the sun, in the forest or by the fireplace. The space A bicentennial house, the Convent is in symbiosis with its garden, which we are patiently working on to make it even more enjoyable! Outside, the 7000 m2 garden, fully fenced, is embellished with 3 bodies of water and a magnificent 15 m long swimming pool. It is composed of several spaces: one, in front of the house, is bordered by century-old lime trees, the other behind the house is open to the surrounding countryside. Garden furniture (tables, chairs, armchairs, outdoor bed) allows you to enjoy the outdoor spaces. On the inside, the Convent is an imposing building with a total area of about 450 m2. It has 14 rooms spread over 3 levels connected by 2 stairwells, with 3 large living rooms on the ground floor and private spaces on the upper floors. On the ground floor: equipped kitchen (gas cooktop with electric oven, microwave, coffee maker, kettle and toaster, fridge, dishwasher), dining room with fireplace and table for 16, living room with fireplace and 2 sofas. All rooms on the ground floor are equipped with a wireless audio system. On the first floor: a large bedroom and a smaller adjoining one with double mattress, a large bathroom with walk-in shower and bathtub, and the library On the second floor: 4 bedrooms with double beds, 1 bedroom with 2 twin beds, 2 bathrooms, 1 with bathtub and a laundry room The house has 3 separate toilets (1 per level) and is non-smoking except for the kitchen.
