Lavender Lodge, Fethard on Sea.

A renovated 19th century farmhouse, set in a 0.5-acre garden at the edge of a seaside village. This is a beautiful property, 15 minutes walk from the nearest beach. It is close to a wide range of amenities and an ideal location for an Autumn or Winter break in a historic and scenic part of Ireland. It's a must-stay! It is best suited to families, as the two bunk beds are best for children and the other two beds are doubles. The space The house, dating from the late 1820s, was renovated to its present state in 2010 by GingerMint Design, which is run by the co-owner, Emer Byrne. It is a minimal, pared-back re-model of the old farmhouse. Lavender Lodge is a great place to relax, simple and very beautiful. The location, within a 5-minute walk of the village of Fethard-on-Sea, is convenient yet private, and the gardens feature flowers, trees and grass. This year we have planted over 50, mostly native, deciduous trees. See if you can find and identify them. The house is ideally suited to couples or families, with lots of space outside to explore and play. In the Autumn & Winter the solid fuel stove, underfloor heating and open fire come into their own, as do the cooking facilities and the relaxing spaces. A very quiet getaway, especially for weekends. Guest access Guests will have complete access to the house and garden. There is outside dining and a bar-b-que, full kitchen and laundry, a solid fuel stove which heats the radiators as well as electric underfloor heating in the kitchen area and bathrooms. Other things to note Electricity is charged at 40c per unit, paid in cash at the end of the stay. Linen & towels are provided. Fuel for the stove can be bought locally, but there is typically one day's fuel provided with the rental. Two double beds and one set of bunk-beds, the upper bunk has safety rails. 1 bath with pumped shower.
