River View - Golant

Our beautiful house is situated in the picturesque village of Golant on the River Fowey in Cornwall. The house is secluded and quiet with beautiful tiered gardens commanding stunning views over the river. The house can sleep 10, 6/8 adults, plus 2/4 children, making it ideal for large and extended families, providing a perfect location for your holiday. The charming and historic town of Fowey is accessible by car, by foot or by river. A maximum of two well behaved dogs are welcome. The space Golant is a beautiful, peaceful village situated in a designated area of outstanding natural beauty, AONB, on the river Fowey. The river becomes a tidal estuary at Golant creating an ever changing atmosphere and scenery. Although the village is quiet there is always plenty to do and see, the wildlife is stunning particularly the birdlife. Just sitting in the garden or taking to the water this is a truly beautiful place to come and relax. In the summer months the house is home to several families of housemartins who nest under the eaves at the front of the house. The house also has a registered bat roost in the loft space above the attic that is home to Pipistrelle bats. The bats can be seen flying and hunting around the garden at night. Guest access Guest will have access to the entire house, it is preferred that you access the house from the lane in the front of the house however access is permitted through the passage at the back of the house if steps need to be avoided. Other things to note There is parking for two cars at the front of the house when parked diagonally. A turning space is situated at the end of the lane. Being a Cornish village the roads are narrow and can be challenging however normal size vehicles will be able to drive to the property. Please take care when driving to the house
