Cosy central studio with large sunny terrace
Cosy central studio with large sunny terrace
Description
A cosy (23m2) well-equipped for up to three adult guests, or a family with two young children for their winter ski or alpine summer holiday. The central location means that you can enjoy all that Morzine has to offer without needing a car. A *small* garage is available to park your car. You can enjoy sun for most of the day from the large south facing terrace, which runs alongside the River Dranse and enjoys views towards some beautiful chalets and an old barn. The space The River Pad Located in the old, quiet quarter of Udrezants, The River Pad is a short three-minute walk downhill to the Place de l'Église. Enjoy a peaceful, car-free stay with easy access to the lifts, cafés, restaurants and bars in town - without the noise of being in the middle of it. This is my home during the interseason, and whenever I'm not travelling with work, so it's been thoughtfully put together to feel homely (think AirBnB 10 years ago). Best suited to 3 adults, or 2 adults with children. The layout works brilliantly for a couple, a solo remote worker (fibre broadband), or a family. It's also a favourite with families visiting their family member who has moved here permenantly! If your group is 4 adults, it'll be a snug fit rather than a comfortable one, please send a message rather than a reservation request and I will happily talk you through it. The sleeping space consists of two bunk beds (190cm x 90cm) in a 'coin montagne', separated by a door from the living area. A sofa bed (140cm x 190cm) in the main living area provides an additional sleeping space for 2 people. Bikes and skis can be stored in a large locker. A large, south-facing terrace is a genuine sun trap, with sunset views out towards the Pleney and Roc D'Enfer as well as across to some lovely old chalets and a beautiful barn. Evenings here are hard to beat. The river Dranse runs immediately alongside the terrace. You will hear the river inside, although closing the curtains and shutters softens it. Returning guests love it, but it's worth knowing if you're sensitive to background sound. The River Pad is still my home part of the year. It is filled with furniture that I have restored, and small improvements are made in between each season. I love to welcome guests who will cherish the space as much as I do. I also know the resort well, and I'd love to help you plan: routes to cycle, places to eat, things to do, all tried and tested by me. Tell me what's bringing you to Morzine and I'll put together recommendations built around it. I want you to love Morzine, and The River Pad, as much as I do. Guest access You will have access to the whole apartment during your stay, as well as the small garage* and the ski locker. *Please note that the garage is small. It measures 2m x 4m and so will not fit 4x4s / estate cars / large vehicles. There is no other parking for the apartment, so if your car will not fit you will need to park in one of the public car parks in town. The remaining parking spaces outside of the apartment building belong to the other apartment owners and should not be used under any circumstances.
