This pumping station is a municipal monument and has been renovated and transformed into a special lodging accommodation since April 2016, with the former pump being part of the interior. The Pomphuis is right on the water with fantastic views. The space On the ground floor, you will find the living room, sitting area, kitchen, a double bedroom and a bathroom. The seating area has a 3-seater sofa and two armchairs. There is a large table with 6 bar stools. The whole has an industrial character. Guest access The entire building is available, as well as the terraces in front of and behind the building. Other things to note The Pomphuis is located on a bicycle and walking path, directly on the water of the Vlaardingsevaart. In good weather, many hikers and cyclists pass by, and it can be pleasantly busy with boats on the water. Guests of the Pomphuis must park the car in a large parking lot about 150 meters from the accommodation. For loading and unloading luggage, you can drive closer and park temporarily on the waterfront opposite the new pumping station.
