A private suite in a charming little castle in a 7-hectare park in Poitou-Charente. The castle is a family home, only one couple/family at a time to share this small castle with the owners. Private facilities include: bedroom, reading area, private bathroom, dining room. An above-ground pool, barbecue and sun loungers. Secure private parking. The castle is located 45 minutes from Futuroscope, 1 hour 15 minutes from La Rochelle. The space The castle was built after the French Revolution in the 1820s with original architectural features, some of which come from a 13th-16th century abbey. Outside: chairs/tables in shaded and/or sunny areas & a forest and its trails. Inside: a fridge, kettle, coffee machine and microwave are also available for private use. A hearty breakfast is offered in the morning. Bathrobes and pool towels are available for the garden. The gates of the castle are closed in the evening (and if there are motorcycles, they can be parked in a closed garage).
