Perfect for friends or family, it’s a peaceful base for walking, cycling, or exploring the Brecon Beacons and nearby Brecon town. Based on the canal it is easy to walk straight from the house. 4 miles to Brecon, and 30 minutes to our local pub. The space Step into history at our mid-17th century farmhouse, now a charming Bed and Breakfast set along the scenic Mon & Brec Canal. With breathtaking views of the Brecon Beacons and Pen y Fan as the centerpiece, it’s the perfect base for a few days of walking, cycling, or simply enjoying the Welsh countryside. Guests have their own private entrance, allowing flexibility to come and go. Breakfast is served in the dining room or conservatory, featuring a traditional cooked breakfast made from the finest local ingredients, with other options available. Your bedroom is en-suite and designed for comfort, with twin single beds, a built-in wardrobe, classic pine furniture, tea tray, flat-screen TV, and high ceilings with exposed beams. From your window, take in the sweeping views of the mountains. On warm evenings, relax in the conservatory or sit on the patio while enjoying the tranquil surroundings and watch the boats go by. Outdoor enthusiasts will appreciate the Usk Valley location, with national park trails right from the door. Local maps, walking books, and guides are provided to help plan your adventures. We’re just 10 minutes from Brecon for shops and restaurants, 25 minutes from Pont ar Daf (for the popular Pen y Fan route), and 30 minutes from the famous Waterfall Country, making it an ideal location to explore South Wales’ highlights.
