Mulazzo is a beautiful medieval stone village, peaceful and authentic, far from crowded tourist centers. Just below the village, the valley opens into beautiful hiking trails, from easy scenic walks to longer routes through forests and hills. Other things to note Mulazzo is a small and peaceful medieval village. Having a car is recommended, as public transportation is limited and buses are infrequent. The nearest train station is in Pontremoli, about a 15-minute drive away. The apartment is located in the historic village center, so like many old stone houses the entrance and interior spaces may feel more compact than modern homes. The village church bell may be heard during the day, but hardly intrusive.
